Dreamy outdoors looking in
Our backyard is looking better and better every day – can’t wait to share when it is all done but in the meantime, this is dreamy
Coat closet why not
We have been living in this house for five years without a coat closet (argh) and finally finally finally we got one – yes we wear coats in California
My brain is always decorating and so I thought this little nook would make a perfect closet
I painted a piece of wood the color of the wall and we covered the window. In case we ever decide to move, it will be easy to take it all down and voila there’s the window. From the outside it looks like you are looking into a dark room – can’t even tell it’s a closet behind there. Anyway, moving on
They came, they framed, they installed folding doors….and here is our much needed and desperately wanted coat closet
I thought my kids had a lot of shoes but it turns out I DO (hehe). I have since painted the doors and wall again and I’m very pleased with the end result.
Now on to the mini table makeover I posted about last week – thank you so much for the feedback. It was super easy and anyone can do it. I used this gold rub’n buff on the frame. Start light and then once you see what it looks like on the frame you can rub on more for more of a gold look. After taking the wood top of the table, I just used my plain old white paint w/primer and put on four light coats – three with brush and the last with a mini roller. Make sure to let it completely dry between each coat of paint. Easy – done
Table makeover
I did a little table makeover yesterday
With a little gold rub’n buff and some white paint this is what the table looks like now….
I’m very happy with the makeover – what do you think?
